BIG cares about its community. BIG’s commitment to the communities it operates in requires that we go beyond simple checkbook philanthropy. We are working hand-in-hand with public and nonprofit organizations to help in many different areas ranging from education to disaster relief.

In order to help our goal of making our communities better places, BIG has established its own charitable foundation. The Mehr (Kindness) Charitable Foundation was established in 1999 by BIG and has continued to operate since with the financial backing of BIG and the time and effort of dedicated volunteers from within our workforce.

The Mehr Foundation’s mission is to aid the female heads of families, through:
Providing personal loans to assist in the start-up of business
Providing tools and training that can employed in order create income
Providing consultation on family management and self employment
Providing financial assistance for university attendance
Through this foundation BIG has helped better the lives of over one thousand families.
